Events

Events are only for members of Friars Cove Lodge, Inc. and their guests. (Residents of Friars Cove subdivision who are not members of the Friars Cove Lodge, Inc. can not come as guests. That means that you can not use the facilities or attend most events in your own neighborhood. Won't you join?)

Socials:

	The Fourth of July is the social highlight of the year. It begins with breakfast on Patsy Klein’s lawn. Then, it’s a parade just for our subdivision including a band made up just of Friars Cove residents! Just about everyone is in the parade — kids on red-white-and blue decorated bikes, parents walking, convertibles, pick-up trucks, even fire trucks! Raising of the flag, singing of the national anthem and a prayer follow at the Lodge. Then, all afternoon: food in the Lodge, raffles, games of all sorts, swimming and lots of fun. This is the one event open to all residents of Friars Cove, whether you are a member of Friars Cove Lodge, Inc. or not.
	The Christmas Party is usually the first Saturday of December, in the evening, at the Lodge.
	In the past year, there has been a ladies bunco party, an Easter egg hunt & potluck, a children's Christmas party and more.
	Then, there are other parties and events as members are inspired to plan them. What event would you like to plan? We can assist you!

Board of Directors:

	Board of Directors meeting is usually the first Tuesday of the month at 8:00pm at the Lodge. Every member is welcome to come, listen and speak out.
	Board of Directors election is in January.

Swim Team:

	Swim team is for kids ages 8 to 18 at the swimming pool in the summer. Practice is summer weekday mornings.
	Swim meets are mostly on summer Tuesday evenings. Occasionally the meets occur at Friars Cove pool. Come, cheer them on!
