The Friars Cove Lodge at 215 Kingston Dr. in Addison, IL
is only available for members of Friars Cove Lodge, Inc.and
those sponsored by members.
The Lodge can accommodate up to 125 people with seating for 100. It is air-conditioned and heated. A
small but full kitchen is available and
includes refrigerator, stove/oven, warming oven and microwave. However, most
people cater their events due to the size of the kitchen. Tables and chairs
are included, though the renter is responsible for set-up and take-down. The
rental fee includes the cost of cleaning the Lodge.
The rental fees are:
 | Members of Friars Cove Lodge, Inc: $300 (member must be present at
the function to receive this rate; member is defined as dues-paying
homeowner[s] and adult family members [over age 25] residing at home.) |
| Non-members: $600 |
Additionally:
| Rental deposit is the full amount of the rental -- $300
or $600. This is required to hold the reservation |
| Security deposit is $100 which is due when you pick up the key. It
will be returned after the rental if the facility is undamaged and nothing
is missing. |
| Members (only) may purchase guest pool passes to be used at their event. Pool passes should be purchased
at least 3 days prior to event from a board member, to allow time for an additional lifeguard to be staffed
-- if necessary |
The Lodge can accommodate up to 125 people. The facilities consist of:

| 10 of 5' round tables |
| 3 of 8' rectangular tables |
| A small kitchen for warming including 4-burner stove with attached oven,
microwave, built-in warming oven, household-size refrigerator with built-in
freezer and a large three-compartment sink for clean up. Note: most
functions are catered since the kitchen is not big enough for
food preparation. |
| The Lodge has a liquor license so you can serve alcohol to guests over the
age of 21. |
| During the summer season, use of the upper
deck is available to renters and their guests. (The pool is only
available for members and their guests.) |
The Lodge, we are sorry to say, is not handicap accessible.
Park in the north parking lot to be close to the the only stairs with a handrail
(at the northeast corner of the lodge). From the southwest parking lot, you will have
to climb a few stairs to the Lodge.

Contact Mary Lou by
e-mail or work phone (630-543-3010) to reserve a date to rent the Lodge or with
any other questions. First come, first served as far as dates go. So, reserve
now!
Mary Lou will e-mail you a copy
of the "lodge rental agreement" after you book a date with her.
The rules (a copy of these will be provided to you on your signed
rental agreement):
| The rental deposit is non-refundable. |
| No music or loud noise after 11:00pm from the balcony. Residents live
nearby. |
| Table decorations only are allowed. Nothing is to be tacked
or taped to the walls, doors, or light fixtures. All decorations must be
disposed of properly. |
| All garbage (including bathrooms) must be placed in plastic garbage bags
and disposed of in outside dumpster at the end of the function. |
| The kitchen must be left in clean condition and the refrigerator must be
emptied of your perishables. (Unopened bags of ice can be left in the
freezer.) |
| Do not dump grease down kitchen or bar sinks, it will cause a backup. You
will be responsible for plumbing repairs due to your negligence. |
| If used, the outside decks must be cleared of all garbage. |
| Checks returned for insufficient funds will be charged an additional $25. |
| If used, tables and chairs should be wiped clean and stacked against the
south wall. |
| Lodge members my allow their guests to use the pool. Member must be on the
Lodge grounds or guests will be asked to leave the pool area. All pool rules
apply to members and their guests. |
| At end of function, lock front and back doors and turn off all lights and
ceiling fans, stove, warming oven, heat or air conditioning, and unplug
cooler behind bar. |
| If alcoholic beverages are served to guests, you will ensure that they are
over the age of 21. Friars Cove Lodge, Inc. assumes no liability for any
event, injury, or other action arising from the renter making alcoholic
beverages available to his/her guests. |
| If complaints are received that a function is too loud or out of hand, the
function will be terminated and there will be no refund of rental fee. |
The $100 security deposit will be returned to you provided that:
| The key has been returned. |
| The Lodge is left in good condition. |
| Nothing has been damaged. |
The following charges will be deducted from your security deposit, if
necessary:
| Lost key or key not returned within 3 days: $75 |
| Tape, nails, tacks, staples, etc. in walls or ceiling: $50 |
| Broken chairs: $50 |
| Broken tables: $150 |
| Tables and chairs not put away: $25 |
| Actual cost of any other additional repairs or cleaning charges |
| It is your responsibility to notify Friars Cove Lodge, Inc. prior
to the start of your function if there are damaged items. Missing or
damaged items will be charged against your security deposit! |
Parking
There are parking lots on the southwest and north sides of the Lodge. Park in
the north lot to get to the only stairs with a handrail (located at the
northeast corner of the Lodge). Overflow parking is on the streets (note the
exceptions below.)
No parking in the Lodge parking lots except during Lodge functions or during
pool hours or you will be subject to towing. If possible, park in the north
parking lot. The southwest parking lot, when not filled with cars, is for basketball.
No parking on Friars Cove streets on weekdays from 8:00am to 3:00pm when school is in
session. You
will be ticketed.
No parking is allowed on any street in the village of Addison from
2:00am to 5:00am.
No parking is allowed on any street in the village
of Addison after 4 or more inches of snow has fallen until the snow removal
procedures are concluded.
